My son's wedding was yesterday. I'm not well, by coincidence. As occupational therapy (to take my mind off how shit I feel) I decide to look at the damp in the car's interior.

The driver's side carpet is still soaking, but the headlining at least now feels dry, but it's marked in places. The dehumidifier is still going its job, but I decide to use a wet Vax on the carpet. Not only does it dry the carpet to "slightly damp" but it also extracts absolutely filthy water - carpets need proper cleaning methinks!

I then use an upholstery cleaner and a wet sponge on the headlining - it takes out the worst of the marks, then i wet vac the headlining, which comes up almost dry.

Then I plug the dehumidifier back in, and have a better look at the paint blistering. It's pretty bad... car looks ok from 10 feet but not closer up. Shit.

I replace the cover as an alternative to hanging myself with one of the cover's tether straps.
